One of the things that sets FliteGrid apart from most DePIN projects is that you don't just deploy hardware and watch a number tick up. You get direct access to the data your sensor is collecting.

Access to the FliteGrid Platform

Every FliteGrid sensor operator gets access to the FliteGrid drone tracking platform. This is the same platform that SkySafe's enterprise customers use for airspace intelligence, adapted for FliteGrid participants.

Through the platform, you can:

Watch live drone activity. See drones detected by your sensor in real time, plotted on a map. Each tracked drone shows its Remote ID data: identity, location, altitude, speed, direction, and pilot location.

Review flight history. Your sensor builds a record of every drone flight it captures. Over time, you'll be able to see traffic patterns, peak activity periods, and how drone operations in your area evolve.

Monitor your sensor's performance. View your sensor's uptime, data volume, connection status, and overall contribution to the network.

See the network. The coverage map shows where the FliteGrid network has coverage, how much of the country is covered, and where gaps remain.

Why This Matters

In most DePIN networks, participants deploy hardware that collects data they never see.

FliteGrid is different. The data your sensor collects is directly visible to you on a platform you can access anytime. You can see the drones flying near you, which means you can see the value your sensor is creating in real time.

This transparency serves a practical purpose, too. Seeing your data helps you evaluate your sensor's placement. If you're not detecting much activity, you might consider relocating to a better position or a higher-value hex. If you're seeing consistent traffic, you know your sensor is in a productive location.
